Hello everyone! Thank you for checking out my guide to favorite places to visit in Costa Rica! As you all know, this is where I grew up and I think Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful countries in the world!

Costa Rica is located in Central America with a population of 5 million people. It is known for its stunning beaches, lush rainforests, and incredible wildlife. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, Costa Rica has something for everyone.

Costa Rica is a small country encompassing 51,100 square kilometers (19,730 sq miles). This is roughly the size of West Virginia or Denmark. Se habla español.
This guide will show you some of my favorite attractions: Irazu Volcano, Arenal Volcano, Manuel Antonio National Park, Monteverde Cloud Forest and Tamarindo Beach.
You can enjoy activities such as surfing, snorkeling, fishing, ziplining and hiking. Costa Rica is also home to many unique and diverse animal species such as sloths, monkeys, pizotes, iguanas and more. I built this page in collaboration with my parents, Silvia and Eckard.

There are many many places to explore in Costa Rica, but this is a practical list of five of my favorite spots that I usually recommend to friends who visit for 1 -2 weeks. 🇨🇷😎🌴
Costa Rican food is yummylicious! Below is a list of some of my favorite dishes.
Most of the visitors arrive by plane to the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). ✈️
There is also an airport on the pacific coast called Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia (LIR). This is a good airport if you want to stay in the pacific-north-west and easily access Guanacaste, Monteverde and La Fortuna. This comfortable airport connects with beautiful beaches in one of the largest and most important tourist areas in the country.
I recommend renting a car to drive around Costa Rica. Unfortunately, we don’t have a good public transportation system. You can also easily order an Uber everywhere in the country.
